Identifying "plus" trees to collect the best quality of
Mukau fruits

Collecting fruits from mukau trees is a process designed to collect and deliver only the highest quality fruits to the Better Globe Forestry nursery. Trained foresters and technicians of Better Globe Forestry have over the years identified mukau trees (known as “plus” trees) which meet certain standards and are used to harvest mukau fruits. Better Globe Forestry purchases up to 30 tons of fruit in a year from farmers, and these purchases help the community generate some income. Purchasing mukau fruits from farmers promotes environmental conservation and restoration.
